De-clutter
Pack up anything that is sitting on countertops, tables or other flat surfaces. Pack up anything you don’t use on a daily basis. Rather than have boxes stored throughout the house, locate a storage area in your basement or garage and neatly store all your packed boxes.
Do a walk through your home
Check for doors that don’t shut properly, windows that don’t close properly, broken handles in cabinetry, look for anything that doesn’t work perfectly and repair.
